DESCRIPTION: The owners of a small condo in the Barton Creek area of Austin found themselves with the opportunity to buy the condo next door to them, open a wall, and merge the two units into one. DOB&EEL were brought on as an Interior Designers for the project. The owners have an eclectic art collection, featuring many works from the one and only Dr. Suess. Apart from the children’s books, he was prolific as an artist. Many of the works feature prototypes of later known children’s characters in much edgier or trippier situations. The merging of the two condos became a chance to clear away all their old furniture, re-imagine their art collection, and start fresh. We enjoyed helping them curate their artwork as well as design and select all of the furniture, finishes and lighting throughout. Still in progress! Stay tuned for more images coming soon.
