DESCRIPTION: DOB&EEL was asked to develop a design for a renovation and addition this small home in Austin, TX. A new wing is to be added for a master suite, while the main body of the house gets a raised, tilted roof and lots of glass, dramatically opening up the space inside. The rendering above is from the rear yard, with the double height master addition to the left.
The owners wanted a living room filled with books, so we designed a wall of shelving running from the back of the house all the way to the entry. This 3D rendering simulates the daylight coming in from the back yard on a summer morning.
